I did try to "migrate" the expansion pack folder over using several different tactics, but it didn't work. But I despise Origin (it takes over nine hours to download less than three gigabytes!), so I wanna try and get this expansion pack onto Steam: can I do that, and if so, how? Do I just copy-paste the pack's folder into Steam's Sims folder (and do I need to rename the EP folder to EP#-whatever-number-it-is-in-release-order, like the 2 packs I bought from Steam -they're labeled EP5 and EP6)? Will this work for EP's and/ or Stuff Packs (I've heard Stuff Packs are easier to transfer.)? Or am I stuck waiting until the Expansion Packs go on sale on Steam?Īlternatively, does anyone think it might be possible to get Steam to price-match Origin's sale prices? In other words, how flexible is Steam's customer support? 'Cause I might wanna try this instead if there's no easy way to move Origin stuff over to Steam.Ĭurses. I decided to shell out ten bucks over there to see if Generations was any good. ![]() ![]() ![]() Origin's got most of the Sims expansion/stuff packs at half price -now-,
